Our founders have direct experience in Irish agri-tech and compliance, and we build tools that reflect that.

FieldWard is built directly on Irish nitrates legislation. Every limit, buffer, and closed period is traceable to its source — not an estimate, not a best guess. When regulations change, so does the app.

Current operative Nitrates Action Programme — primary source for nitrogen limits (170 / 250 kg N/ha), closed season schedules, buffer zone rules, and application method requirements. Supersedes S.I. 605 of 2022.

Watercourse classification data underpinning the Art. 18 buffer zone matrix — distances vary by fertiliser type and water feature type, not a single fixed value.

Copernicus / Sentinel-1 & 2
Dual-orbit SAR (S1) and optical OPTRAM moisture (S2) for field condition and trafficability scoring. No personal data transmitted to Copernicus. Satellite is additive — regulatory compliance logic remains independent.

Farm boundary and spreading data treated as personal data. EU-region storage, DPC as supervisory authority, full data subject rights supported.

⚠ Several agronomic thresholds are currently pending sign-off with Teagasc. FieldWard reflects the best available published values and will update automatically when confirmation is received. Final compliance responsibility rests with the farmer.
